'Please bear with me,' May said.
She appeared flustered throughout the talk she gave to about 30 students in the Enviornmental Education, Science and Technology Building on Wednesday.
'Intellectual freedom is the basis of freedom ... and banned books stand in the way of that,' May said.
The presentation, hosted by the Texas Academy of Math and Science, gave brief background information about the beginnings of censorship and detailed what May feels are the positive aspects of books challenged mostly by concerned parents. " .. Be sure to read the rest of the article.
