The Salt Lake Tribune -- Libraries boost scores

The Salt Lake Tribune -- Libraries boost scores: "School libraries play a critical role in student achievement. Keith C. Lance has conducted studies in Colorado, Alaska and Pennsylvania and found that standardized test scores can be expected to be 10-20 percent higher in schools with strong library media centers. (See http://www.lrs.org.) These results have been replicated in other states. Strong library media programs have adequate funding for staff, technology and print materials."
