The New York Times Announces Fourth Annual Librarian Awards; Awards Honor Public Librarians Across the Country; Nominations Now Being Accepted: "The New York Times opened the nominating period today for the fourth annual New York Times Librarian Awards. Nominations of public librarians working in the United States are currently being accepted through September 17. The awards honor librarians who provide outstanding community service on a consistent basis.
As in 2003, The Times will recognize 15 librarians in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York State. In addition, the program will honor 12 librarians from six regions across the U.S.: Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Great Lakes, Southwest, Mountain and Plains States, and West."
Come on Oklahoma--I know we have some great public librarians--help the rest of the US recognize it and nominate a librarian!
