You may remember a few months back there was a movement in the world of libraries to get Mattel to create a Librarian Barbie. (you can see a poll of the voting at the bottom of the Doctor Barbie page). Well, the next best thing has been created. For you special nerds out there you may know that there has been a super hero who was a Librarian. No--not Noah Wyle and not the New Jersey Library Campaign figure -- I'm talking about Barbara Gordon (aka Bat Girl)!!! Mind you she doesn't come with all the accoutrements of Nancy Pearl Action Figure--but she does have a cute lunch box. Just image Bat Girl and Nancy -- swooping through the back alley between 001 and 001.1 fighting the evil forces of bad shelving and mold spores --Oh the joy, oh the joy!
(yes, I know my DC comics link goes to the "new" batgirl -- who is not Commissioner Gordon's daughter)
