NAVA - AMERICAN CITY FLAGS SURVEY

Found this via Metafilter. Here's a book to add to your collection--as well as a little Oklahoma Flag FYI. OKC's city flag came in 130th and came in as 2.74 pretty (on a 10 point scale)--Tulsa's city flag came in 124th and was 2.88 pretty. hmmmm...Tulsa beat OKC on literacy and now flag aesthetics--is there a rumble brewing? ;-)
NAVA - AMERICAN CITY FLAGS SURVEY:
"With the publication of its landmark book American City Flags, NAVA polled its members and friends about their opinions of 150 city flag designs in the United States.

Based on their design qualities, each flag was rated from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst score and 10 is the best. Respondents were asked to rate each flag based on his or her personal opinion about what constitutes a good flag design "

American City Flags has 400+ pages and color plates with all the flags. It's a great addition to a library, and the first book of its kind published since 1915. It's available on Amazon.com or directly from the flag association that published it: www.nava.org.
The flags were all rated in a recent poll.
