Blogs, or web logs, have developed as virtual marketplaces for national, regional, and local political discourse and, in some cases, have surpassed even national media in presenting news to the public. This has left many wondering how much power bloggers truly have. Are blogs on the verge of becoming watchdogs of the mainstream media?
