ChannelOklahoma.com - News - Florida Libraries Ban Unaccompanied Adults From Kids' Area: "No adults allowed -- unless accompanied by a child.
That's now the rule in the kids' section of the libraries in Orange County, Fla.
Since Nov. 1, adults without children have been able to select items in the children's areas but they can't read books or loiter there. One national group said this could be the first policy of its kind in the country.
Library officials in Orange County said no specific incident led to the new rule. In August, police in Orlando arrested a man after a 15-year-old girl said he tried to molest her at the downtown library. "
