Bartlesville woman (a retired librarian) spends time quilting gifts for others

Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise Online: "Why would anyone go to all the trouble to buy material, create original patterns to make dozens of quilts and then just give them away to children she doesn't even know? Mary Jane Norfleet says, "It's just therapy. It keeps my sanity. That's what I tell my doctor." ... She worked for Phillips until she retired in 1982 working in General Services as a Photographic Librarian. She was in charge of organization and filing of the negatives used in the Phillips Reprographic area at 310 West 5th. ...
Norfleet continually donates quilts and toys to MUTUAL Girls Club as gifts and reading incentives for the girls."
