PRYOR - The search for a new head librarian for the city is now pending Council action.
Former city librarian, David Johannson, submitted his formal resignation Monday evening.
The Budget and Personnel Committee voted Tuesday night to pursue applicants for the position which has paid $38,456 annually. The Committee's recommendation will have to be approved by the Council.
City Clerk Eva Smith confirmed Johannson's acceptance of the city's terms effective Feb. 2. He was paid the balance of sick and vacation leave amounting to around $10,000.
Sandra Hixson is the acting librarian in the interim."
