The Nation | About | Adopt-A-Library

Found this via Conservator. You may not agree with their politics--but it is a novel idea! The Nation | About | Adopt-A-Library: "Please consider joining The Nation's ADOPT-A-LIBRARY program. When The Nation is available in high school libraries, according to a national survey, it's one of the top dozen periodicals actually used by students. But, in more than three US libraries out of four, The Nation is still not available.

The reasons? Everything from budget cuts to the "discretion" of the local school board or librarian.

The remedy? The Nation's ADOPT-A-LIBRARY program. For a specially discounted rate, you can put a full year's worth of The Nation into an institution on our "high-priority" list--libraries where we feel The Nation's presence could make a profound difference--
"

(BTW, we have the Nation at SWOSU) ;-)
