Meet Avi, Winner of the Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers' Literature Friday Sept. 09 2005 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm This event will be held at Central Library second floor. Avi, one of the most prolific, talented and critically acclaimed children's writers of the 21st century, will receive the Tulsa Library Trust's 2005 Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers' Literature and will speak about his life and works. Avi will answer questions from the audience and sign books. You may purchase copies of his books at the program. This event is for all ages in Tulsa,OK this coming Friday.
This Saturday join the community of Tulsa for an Awards Ceremony: Young People's Creative Writing Contest Saturday Sept. 10 2005 at 10:00 am This event will be held at Central Library second floor. Event Description: Avi, winner of the Tulsa Library Trust's 2005 Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers' Literature, will hand out awards to winners of Tulsa City-County Library's 2005 Young People's Creative Writing Contest. He will teach youths how to write creatively, and give life to words and voices to characters. Avi will answer questions from the audience and sign books.
