oudaily.com - Regents OK $3 million for lab: "OU President David L. Boren also announced at the meeting that $2 million has been donated to OU Libraries.
The donation is the largest private gift in OU Libraries’ history for library collections and was from the estate of Faery and Theodore Loveridge of Norman.
The money will be used to establish the Loveridge Endowment for University Libraries.
“Their wonderful and generous gift will enrich the quality of our libraries for generations to come,” Boren said in a press release.
Faery was a retired librarian from Cleveland County who received her bachelor’s degree in education from OU in 1936.
She and her husband Ted will also be recognized as members of the George Lynn Cross Heritage Society, which honors donors.
University Libraries Dean Sul H. Lee said in a press release that he has known Faery for 20 years and has many fond memories of the Loveridges."
