GTR Newspapers:Oklahoma Authors Book Fair Set for December 1
The Tulsa Press Club is hosting its first ever Oklahoma Authors Book Fair from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1 at Harwelden, 2210 S. Main. The free event is open to the public.
A group of distinguished writers from the Sooner state will gather for a casual evening of literati and food?mingling with local authors while sampling appetizers and desserts from some of Tulsa?s finest restaurants. More than 20 authors will be on hand to greet fans and autograph books. Books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Barnes & Noble. Will Readmore, a Bank of Oklahoma mascot used to promote literacy efforts sponsored by the bank, will greet guests and hand out bookmarks.
The book fair is the perfect opportunity for area residents to meet their favorite Oklahoma authors and purchase gifts for the upcoming holidays. A portion of book sales from the evening will benefit the Tulsa Press Club Scholarship Fund.
The Oklahoma Author?s Book Fair is sponsored by the Tulsa Press Club, the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa and Barnes & Noble. Co-sponsors are Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), Krumme Oil, Helmerich Foundation and Tulsa Technology Center.
Participating authors are: William Bernhardt, Danny Boyd, P.C. Cast, Marian Clark, Richard Cox, Connie Cronley, Kim Doner, Victor Gischler, Jim Halsey, Gloria Harchar, Chris Hernandez for the late Dianna Seay, Alan Hollingsworth, Marion Moore Hill, Hannibal Johnson, Manly Johnson, Jodie Larsen, Billie Letts, Anna Myers, Francine Ringold, Charles Sasser, Clifton Taulbert, Will Thomas, K.D. Wentworth and John Wooley.
Participating restaurants include Tei Kei?s, The Palace Caf�, and TW?s Catering.
