POSITION TITLE: REFERENCE/BIBLIOGRAPHIC INSTRUCTION LIBRARIAN-LU/OKC
(INSTRUCTOR OR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR)

NATURE OF JOB: Under the direction of the Director of University Libraries, oversee the day to day operation of the LU-OKC library. Provide reference and instruction services to library patrons, participate in collection development activities, coordinate the Inter Library Loan (ILL) activities with main campus library, and develop programs to promote the library.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide reference services to LU-OKC library patrons, conduct bibliographic instruction sessions, provide ILL and OK-Share services, maintain the LU-OKC library collection, participate in collection development activities and library web page development.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: MLS or MLIS degree from an ALA accredited program. Experience in reference and/or public services. Knowledge and understanding of issues and trends in reference and instruction services; strong interpersonal skills and services orientation; ability to work in a collegiate environment with diverse faculty, staff and students. Desired: Experience with information technologies to enhance library services. Familiarity with concepts of information literacy.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
