Libraries choosing to filter because of the CIPA decision maintain that
their mission to bring together people and the information they need
remains the same. Speakers will examine whether "traditional library
practices" validate CIPA's imposition of mandatory filtering, and, if
so, explore the far-reaching consequences for the future of
librarianship.
