Managing Information News | Internet Librarian International Conference Calls For Speakers : "The eighth annual Internet Librarian International is a key annual conference for global information professionals using the latest strategies, products and technology for finding, organising and managing web-based information resources.
The Conference Chairs and internationally-sourced Advisory Committee are seeking papers on a wide range of related topics including, but not limited to: Web 2.0; Library 2.0; blogs, WIKIs, podcasts; and open access/open source.
Tom Hogan Snr, CEO of conference organisers Information Today commented: 'This year's Internet Librarian International represents excellent value for today's library and information manager. Our aim, as always, is to deliver content and counsel that attendees can take back to their workplace and apply right away.
With increasingly restricted budgets and limited time available to them, our attendees achieve a great deal in just two short days, achieving valuable career advancement through interaction with professionals from over 30 countries.'
The conference comprises a range of interactive workshops, keynote sessions and networking opportunities, including access to speakers during session breaks and at lunchtime. There is a wide range of sponsorship and exhibit opportunities for key providers of pertinent products and services to the information community. Further details from Sjoerd Vogt (tel: 01367-241707).
Proposals should be submitted via www.internet-librarian.com before 30 March 2006.
