Access Services Librarian and Monographs Librarian, Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma City, OK

Oklahoma City University invites applications for two positions with faculty rank of Assistant Professor of Library Science. Both are 12-month tenure track positions, with an anticipated starting date of August 2, 2006.

The first position, Access Services Librarian, will provide library service through the supervision of the circulation, interlibrary loan, and document delivery services for the Dulaney-Browne Library and through reference, instruction, and faculty liaison.

Requirements include: a Master of Library Science from a library or information science program accredited by the American Library Association; previous experience in an academic library; a high level of computer expertise, both with hardware and software; and excellent personal communication skills.

The second position, Monographs Librarian will provide library service through the acquisition, processing, and cataloging of monographic materials for the Dulaney-Browne Library and through reference, instruction, and faculty liaison.

Requirements include: a Master of Library Science from a library or information science program accredited by the American Library Association; previous experience in an academic library; proficiency cataloging with OCLC and automated library systems; knowledge of AACR2R and MARC standards; experience in classifying library materials; excellent personal communication skills.
