Access Services Librarian, Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Goodwell, OK

Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) is accepting applications for the Access Services Librarian position. OPSU is a small regional university whose student population comes primarily from the five-state area of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, New Mexico, and Colorado. www.opsu.edu

Description: The Access Services Librarian enhances the educational
opportunities to students through the coordination and supervision of library circulation and reference services within available resources. Faculty status.

Qualifications: ALA accredited MLS/MLIS required. Relevant experience or coursework; familiarity with online catalog and integrated library automation systems (Endeavor Voyager in use); general knowledge of MS micro-computing, electronic resources, Internet; commitment to customer relations and user centered library services; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with faculty, students, and community users; superior interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience: Recent MLS/MLIS graduates with reference and circulation knowledge will be considered. Opportunity to gain experience in all operational aspects of a small academic library, develop marketable skills, and build a great resume.

Responsibilities: Manage and assess wide range of circulation services; maintain circulation module of library information system (Endeavor Voyager); hire, supervise, train, evaluate and motivate student staff; act as library liaison to assigned faculty departments; coordinate and provide reference services; coordinate and provide instruction; coordinate Textbook Review Center and curriculum collection.

Salary and benefits: Full benefits package. Annual accrual of 33 days paid leave. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
