Four Oklahoma schools get warnings

Four schools in Oklahoma are getting accreditation warnings from the state Board of Education this year. That's down from six school that were warned last year.

The warnings indicate a school failed to meet one or more state education standards.

A total of five warnings are being issued with the Oklahoma City district getting warnings for two schools. Capitol Hill High School was found to have a teacher without proper credentials and Southeast High School failed to provide enough money for its library.

Friend Elementary School in Chickasha is being warned for not complying with state requirements on the length of the school year and length of the school day.

St. John Christian Heritage Academy in Oklahoma City was warned for allowing employees to teach without proper credentials, and Avant Elementary School in Avant was warned for not meeting state board regulations for library media.
