Cataloging Librarian/Assistant Professor
Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Henry G. Bennett Memorial Library invites applications for a tenure track Cataloging Librarian/Assistant Professor. Required: ALA Accredited Master’s Degree of Library and/or Information Studies. Demonstrated knowledge of library skills gained through employment as a professional librarian. Preferred: A minimum of three years of cataloging experience, knowledge of AACR2 and MARC format. Experience with a bibliographic utility, preferably OCLC, and experience with a library automation system, preferably SIRSI.

The Cataloging Librarian will perform original and complex copy cataloging in a wide range of formats using OCLC, Dewey Decimal Classification System, AACR2, MARC and LCSH. Other responsibilities include authority control, database maintenance, and quality control. Additional duties include shared reference and instruction.

Founded in 1909, Southeastern Oklahoma State University enrolls approximately 4,200 students in 46 undergraduate and 7 graduate degree programs. The campus is located in Durant, Oklahoma, 80 miles north of Dallas, Texas and 150 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
