Honestly though - I figured it was only a matter of time before I got talk about Sally Kern again. Turns out the "homosexual agenda" wasn't the only thing discussed but Rep. Kern at her now famous youtube discussion. Us dirty dirty libraries - and, squidsprodroves, us workers - were also included. I know, quick call your grandparents and let them know you were off handedly mentioned on the intertubes. You can listen or read the transcript at http://www.equalrightsproject.com/ -- if you listen the library bit it is at 23:31 (we are right after the cancer-toe-bit):
This brings in our libraries. Okay, you know I believe in the principle as a person thinks, as a man thinks, so is he. That’s why we have to be careful about what we read, what we watch, things like that, what music we listen to and stuff because what goes in is what comes out. Garbage in, garbage out. We know that with computers. You know, what you put in is what you get out. Okay. You take our young minds and the garbage that they’re reading in our libraries and I mean it’s garbage. I should have thought and brought you some excerpts of some of the stuff that, uh, I mean there’s no literary value to it at all. It is pure filth. The language, the acts, the things that are going on and yet our kids are reading it, I mean, they are reading in the droves...
Well I do agree with one thing - Garbage in, garbage out. And I think the above is filled with plenty of garbage. I don't think I could have summed up the above statement any better myself - thanks Rep Kern.
On a side note I might sell shirts at Cafe Press with Kern 23:31 - if I do would you buy?
