Self checkout service in United Arab Emirates public libraries

Having doubts if self-check-out will work in your library? Well, here's another library system that's doing it.

DUBAI - Dubai Municipality has introduced a new service called Self Checkout Service in its public libraries across the emirate. Special equipment will be provided for the public to lend and return books all by themselves.
Mohammed Jassim Al Eraidi, Head of Public Libraries Section, said that this pioneering step comes part of the municipality's move towards strengthening setting up of electronic services that are provided by the public libraries and also for strengthening the e-Government services by offering new service for lending in place of the traditional methods.
