Ardmoreite.com | Springer students to take books home for summer 05/21/04: "Springer kindergarten students will be able to enjoy some summer reading. As part of a 'bag of books' incentive program, and thanks to an $80,000 grant from Reading First, the school was able to purchase 15 library books per student in Springer's first grade class.
'These books were hand picked by the students' teacher to accommodate each student's reading level,' school superintendent Paula Oliver said. 'We bagged the books in little beach bags for the students to be able to take them home and add to or begin their own personal libraries.'"
