City Hands Over Keys: "The Metropolitan Library System took possession of the new Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library, Wednesday after MLS officials were notified late last week they could take possession of the building, at 300 Park Avenue.
'Construction of the building was deemed substantially complete this week, moving the project into the tenant finish-out phase,' said Oklahoma City Manager Jim Couch.
The process of moving from the Library's current location at 131 Dean A. McGee Avenue begins today with the first delivery of library furniture. 'I was elated when I saw the flower beds being planted in front of the building,' Couch said, 'because it meant we were really wrapping up the City's part.' "
