Oklahoma Author Wins Award

Article: "Edmond author M. K. Preston has won the 2004 Mary Higgins Clark Award for suspense fiction for her novel, 'Song of the Bones.' Preston accepted the honor at a ceremony in New York City on April 28. The award includes an engraved crystal book and a $1,000 prize from the award sponsor, Simon & Schuster Publishing Group. In March, the book also earned the 2004 Oklahoma Book Award in Fiction given by the Oklahoma Center for the Book.

On July 8, Preston will present a program for the Chickasha Friends of the Library at noon in the USAO Student Center Regents Room. Persons interested in attending should contact the Chickasha Library."
