Charlcie Ann Kennedy, Eufaula High School librarian, was nominated for the annual Polly Clarke Award

McAlester News Capital & Democrat: "Charlcie Ann Kennedy, Eufaula High School librarian, was nominated for the annual Polly Clarke Award. Established in 1988, the award acknowledges school librarians who develop an outstanding library program.
Polly Clarke, for whom the award was named, was a professor of library science who taught at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Kennedy was one of Clarke's students and credits Clarke with instilling in her a passion for books.
Kennedy was one of 10 nominees for the award. She was recognized in Oklahoma City recently when the Polly Clarke Award was given to this year's outstanding library media specialist at the annual Encyclo-Media state conference.
Kennedy was presented with a congratulatory Ironhead banner by the student body, and a gift certificate by the school."
