The Enid News & Eagle | Teen Read Week Set

The Enid News & Eagle: "Teens will be reading for the fun of it as the Public Library of Enid and Garfield County gets an early start on celebrating Teen Read Week, which is Sunday through Oct. 23.
The library joins hundreds of other libraries, schools and bookstores that are encouraging teens to celebrate this year's theme, It's Alive! @ Your Library, for ages 12 to 18 years.
Library officials say the week is the "intersection of horror, suspense, black and white movies, and even modern concepts like genetic engineering." Programming and reading are billed as ways to increase adolescent literacy during the one week-long celebration. "
