The Enid News and Eagle--Local author Gray to sign books

The Enid News and Eagle--Local author Gray to sign books: "Educating through impact is a method Gary Gray uses to portray seven of America’s leaders.

Gray, an Enid native and historical scholar, has portrayed presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Johnson, James A. Garfield, Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Roosevelt, as well portraying Gen. Douglas MacArthur. Those characterizations, plus more information, are in Gray’s new book, “Mr. Presidents.” He will sign copies 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Hastings Books, Music and Videos, 104 Sunset Plaza.

A common link between the characters he has presented is a vision, he said.

“They were not afraid to embrace new ideas and radical change,” he said.

Gray has graduate degrees from Phillips University, Southern Methodist University and Notre Dame. He received a doctorate from Oklahoma State University. He has performed and lectured at Phillips University and Northwestern Oklahoma State University."
