Access Service Librarian, Northern Oklahoma College, Vineyard Library, Tonkawa, OK

Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa has the entry-level position of Access Service Librarian. We are seeking an energetic, service oriented professional, who is interested in facilitating the educational opportunities to students and faculty through the coordination and supervision of library circulation and reference services. The applicant should be interested in contributing inventive and progressive solutions to address current and upcoming issues in libraries, and take part in library instruction, electronic and traditional library services. He/She will report directly to the Director of Northern Oklahoma College Libraries. The Access Service Librarian will also hold the responsibility to supervise, train, and motivate student assistants, oversee the circulation system (Endeavor’s Voyager), and serve as library liaison to assigned college departments.

Required qualifications: MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited institution preferred. Masters in a relevant field with library experience or a BS in Library Science will be considered. The successful candidate will have: knowledge and interest in library issues related to circulation and reference services; evidence of a strong understanding of electronic and print resources used in libraries; strong commitment to library public service; excellent interpersonal, oral, analytical, and organizational skills and experience with the structure and administration of an integrated library system (Endeavor preferred) or the equivalent.
