The annual Oklahoma Library Association conference, "Keys to the Future", will be held April 21-23, 2008 at the Southern Hills Marriott, 1902 E. 71st, local event co-chairs Charles Brooks and Carla Aldrich announced.
Featured speaker is George Needham, vice president of member services for Online Computer Library Services (OCLC), the international service providing union catalogue services to 112 countries. He is co-host with library consultant Joan Frye Williams of the podcast series, "George and Joan, Thinking Out Loud", which discusses trends in society and technology and how they affect libraries and librarians.
The conference, attended by public, academic, school and special librarians from across the state, will include exhibits, author visits and educational sessions on library issues, technology and advocacy.
