Head of Technical Services of the Public Library of Enid and Garfield County
The City of Enid invites applications for the position of Head of Technical Services of the Public Library of Enid and Garfield County. This position is a key member of the Library’s Administrative Team, directly reporting to the Library Director. Enid seeks applicants who demonstrate an enthusiastic commitment to the dynamic promotion of literacy and education within the community.

Responsibilities include supervise budgeting, planning, and personnel activities; schedule staff and conduct performance evaluations for those supervised; conduct in-house training as needed; prepare monthly reports in narrative and statistical format; order, record, verify, classify, catalog, and process all library materials; research and recommend methods for labeling and shelving new kinds of library materials; review and evaluate resource material in order to select and order in all formats available; organize library materials, provide assistance to other departments as needed; and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications: The right applicants will preferably have an accredited Master’s Degree in Library Science or an Oklahoma Department of Libraries Level V Certification or the equivalent obtainable within six months of employment. A minimum of four years of progressive library experience required.

Salary range $26,478.40- $38,064.00 annually plus excellent benefits. This exempt position requires some evening and weekend hours.

Just FYI, I don't work at this library. I am almost certain these job postings both refer to the same "Head Librarian" position they advertised a month or so ago.

And going to work at this library right now would be like walking into a wasps nest. I sincerly wish talented folks would move up to enid and work @ that ol' library but now may not the be time.

Thanks for the heads up on the job posting -- I wasn't sure on it.

Interview in Enid would be a little difficult at this time considering the library is closed because of the roof (and water?) damage.

Although I'm sure you are talking about other stuff. ;-)
